Honest review
A calm seaside Anantara on the Desaru coast: the resort stands on the front line, and its whole logic is built around the view of the water.
The room stock reads simply: base categories face the garden, the senior ones face the sea. Corner rooms are a story of their own: the corner sea-view room has a wraparound balcony with space both for dining and for lounging — in practice, almost a second open-air room.
The beach residences open straight onto the sand — the option for those who want no paths or crossings between themselves and the sea.
The villas are arranged like a small house: a bedroom, a living room, a spacious terrace with a lounge area and a private pool. In every category the bathrooms are proper ones, with a separate tub and shower.
The advice is simple: if you are coming for the sea, take a sea view or a beach residence — that is where this location makes its point.
