Honest review
Not a resort in the usual sense, but a collection of private houses of the top tier on the ocean shore — with a butler, a chef and housekeepers. The villas stand among palms and granite boulders, Praslin's signature scenery, and every bedroom has panoramic windows onto the Indian Ocean.
Privacy here is the real thing: each house has its own pool and its own path to the beach, and the villas are isolated from one another — you will see your neighbours exactly as much as you choose to.
Three meals a day are arranged, and there are spa treatments and water sports, so the 'decide nothing' mode works at full strength here.
The location is Praslin's north-east, Anse Gouvernement beach. The island itself can be explored on foot, by hire car, or by boat excursion to the neighbouring islands.
Who it suits: a large family or a group of up to 10 adults who want a house of their own by the ocean — or a couple that values complete autonomy.
