Honest review
A practical entry point to the Seychelles: Avani+ Barbarons is a 30-minute drive from the international airport — no extra boats, no domestic flights.
Mahé's west coast means open ocean and sunsets from your windows. On categories: standard rooms and balcony rooms face the tropical garden, so if you want ocean in the window, go for the sea-front categories — book those first.
Mahé is the largest island of the archipelago, and staying on the beach alone would be a mistake: set aside days for the paradise gardens, the markets and the neighbouring islands. You can hire a speedboat right at the resort — snorkelling and swimming with manta rays are arranged without complicated logistics.
Who it suits: couples and honeymooners who want the Seychelles without extra transfers — and a base from which to see the whole island.
