Honest review
From 10 April 2023 the hotel is introducing an environmental fee of 5 euros per night of villa accommodation as a contribution to the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles (MCSS) programme
The hotel's luxurious villas (30 in all) are set on the west coast of the popular island of Mahé.
Yet guests are hardly likely to notice, since every Anantara Maia villa has been literally "built into" the surrounding landscape by Bill Bensley. Across the 30 acres around them there is nothing but dense forest, lush flower and herb gardens and inviting pathways linking the villas to one another.
This hotel is a real find for those seeking a home in a tropical paradise, but with every comfort. Some of the villas sit on a hilltop with panoramic views of Anse Louis beach and the Indian Ocean. Others stand right on the shore with access to a beach of soft white sand.
The first option suits travellers dreaming of a secluded holiday, communion with nature and picturesque panoramas of the surroundings. The second will appeal to families or larger groups who want to stay close to one another.
Despite the atmosphere of "lostness", there is certainly no chance of being bored at the hotel. You can relax and recover at the spa, where specialists will select the right face and body treatments and signature aromatic blends for every guest.
