A practical look at the most "Italian" resort in Antalya. The architectural game of Venice — a basilica, a palace, a bell tower, Caffè Florian, the Rialto Bridge — is no stage set here: every building earns its keep.
Finding your way is simple: reception, the spa and the indoor pool are in the San Marco basilica; the main restaurant, café, shops and congress centre are in the Dukedom Palace; you will be living in the San Marco, Santa Maria or Castello blocks — the rooms there come with garden or sea views, and the sets of services differ between blocks, so check when booking. For an aperitif, go up to the bar in the bell tower — a terrace with a view over the whole of the surroundings.
For families the essentials are these: a 3,500 m² outdoor pool with children's sections and a jacuzzi pool, a waterpark and a Blue Flag beach — fine velvet sand, a pier, sun loungers with cushions, umbrellas, showers and changing cabins.
In winter the script holds: a heated indoor pool, a relaxation jacuzzi, a children's pool and a vitamin bar with freshly squeezed fruit juices.
The verdict: a resort for families and groups who want the sea, large-scale infrastructure and a little Venetian theatricality thrown in.
