Honest review
Six Senses in its Turkish reading: secluded grounds on the Aegean coast north of Bodrum, hills of wild olives and cypresses — and the brand's philosophy of health carried through to the details.
The accommodation is 141 rooms and suites plus 66 Ridge Terrace rooms in natural materials, each with a balcony and a view; suites and Ridge Terrace add a private pool and a spacious terrace. For larger parties there are residences with three to five bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms and their own gardens.
Sleep here is elevated to a cult: handmade mattresses, temperature-adjustable pillows and duvets, organic cotton sheets.
The spa is the kind people fly in for: the Alchemy bar, extensive hydrothermal zones, a Watsu pool, hammams, a meditation cave, state-of-the-art gyms; programmes are personalised to you, not to the season's fashion.
The kitchen is sustainable Aegean, Mediterranean and Pan-Asian, on produce from local growers and vegetables from the resort's own organic garden. Nearby are serious sights, including two of the seven wonders of the world.
A resort for those coming for a reset and quiet; Milas-Bodrum airport is 51 km away, and that remoteness works in its favour.
