Honest review
Royal Holiday Palace looks luxurious, even pompous — while the atmosphere inside is unexpectedly homely: cosy, calm and warm.
The grounds are small but green and full of character: palms, olive and mandarin trees, neat lawns and plenty of pretty spots for photographs. Outdoors there is a large pool and a small water park running on a schedule.
The beach is clean, sand-and-pebble, with a comfortable entry into the water; on the first line there are paid pavilions and a pier.
Inside — a large indoor pool, children’s pools (indoor and outdoor), a jacuzzi and an excellent spa; the hammam and sauna are free.
The kitchen is a strong suit: the menu changes daily, with plenty of meat dishes, vegetables, fruit and pastries; for children there are porridges, boiled vegetables, meat and purées, and a blender is on hand. The main restaurant has several adults-only halls — you can eat in silence even in a family resort. For an extra charge there is à la carte: Mexican, Turkish, Japanese, Far Eastern, Italian and fish.
A resort for families who want a palace on the outside and a home on the inside.
