Rixos Beldibi

Honest review

A very cosy, small-scale Rixos — a rare format for this brand: compact green grounds you can walk around in about ten minutes, right on the seafront, five minutes on foot from the town of Beldibi.

The atmosphere is homely in the best sense: hammocks, swings and benches across the grounds, plus the resort's own garden growing tea and herbs for the local kitchen.

About the sea, honestly: the beach is pebbly with imported sand, long and well kept, the bay is scenic, but the entry into the water is not the easiest — there are rocks near the shore, so water shoes will come in handy. The simple solution is the pier with a good sandy bottom — most people swim from it, and the sea is warm and clear.

The daytime rhythm is quiet: soft animation, occasional yoga, a gym, tennis courts, darts, watersports equipment for hire. There are two pools: an outdoor one with a children's zone and a heated indoor pool at the spa.

Food is a strong suit: besides the main restaurant, three à la carte venues — fish, Turkish and Italian — are free to visit; the French SPAR X is extra, open for breakfast and dinner.

Who it is for: those who like Rixos service but want quiet and intimacy instead of giant complexes.
