Honest review
If you need one address near Bodrum where luxury coexists with children practically from birth, it is Lujo. The drive from Milas-Bodrum airport took us about 30 minutes, and the level registers already in the branded transfer with its wood-panelled interior.
On rooms, our advice: in the main building take a Deluxe on a higher floor — the view opens up, lower down you look into the treetops. The rooms are finished in wood, with a dressing room, a terrace and a pillow menu; the minibar is restocked via QR code and its contents are tailored to you — down to "only cola, no Fanta". For families and groups — the two-bedroom Maki Beach villas: a private pool, a patio terrace in a Mediterranean spirit and a 50% discount on cabanas.
With children the main argument is the kids club, which takes them from one year old, free and without parents, from 9:00 until 2:00 at night: Russian-speaking staff, a LEGO room, a children's restaurant with a buffet. Almost everywhere this starts at three or four, so for families with toddlers it is a rarity.
The restaurants beyond the main ones — Italian, Turkish, teppanyaki — need reservations: book through your butler right after check-in, the schedules change. Keep in mind that cabanas, photo shoots and motorised water sports cost extra; everything non-motorised at the watersports centre is included.
The pools — four terraced, intimate, heated, with a children's zone with a sandy bottom, so the resort makes sense in the shoulder season too. To be honest: the grounds are noticeably multi-level (buggies and escalators help), and the white sand in the coves is imported — though it feels almost Maldivian.
For seclusion head to the clifftop pool and the Indigo Club 16+; for life — to the family beaches in a sheltered bay with no waves. A resort for those who want the Aegean in a luxury edition, with no compromise on the children's side.
