One resort, two holiday scenarios — and that is the first thing to understand about Club Marvy before booking.
Travelling as a couple, take Marvy Adults Only: view rooms above the beach of Kesre Bay with the best sunsets, a separate reception desk, a child-free beach and its own menu at the Degirmen restaurant. Complete seclusion inside a large resort.
Travelling with children, head for the main grounds: a busy social programme for families, while young sailors aged 8–15 learn to handle a boat in the Young Sailing Program; trips out into the bay on O'pen Bic dinghies are run by Marvy Sail.
The resort itself opened in 2017 on 160,000 square metres of pine-covered Aegean shoreline. The interiors follow the region's village style, with hand-woven Buldan textiles in natural dyes, and the mattresses were designed specifically for deep sleep. The cooking is Aegean: home and street flavours of the local villages in the chefs' own reading.
The verdict: a rare case where the family and adults-only formats live on one territory without getting in each other's way.
