Sofitel The Palm Dubai

Honest review

A tropical refuge in the middle of Dubai: lush greenery on the shore of the Gulf, Polynesian motifs and French chic — the South Pacific as a source of inspiration reads in everything, from the onyx and dark-wood accents to the palette of the interiors.

The sense of isolation is deceptive, though: the bustling metropolis is minutes away, and you can slip into the city at any moment.

From the balcony or terrace — gardens or the Gulf; rooms come with exclusive bed linen and French cosmetics. The range of accommodation is serious: from elegant standards and suites to spacious family apartments and private villas — for families we'd point to the apartments.

The food is an argument in itself: 12 restaurants, bars and lounges, from casual to high-end, with the cuisines of the Gulf, Europe, Asia, America and the South Pacific.

A resort for those who need balance: tropics and quiet by default, the city on demand. It works for couples and families alike.
