Honest review
A small and very quiet boutique resort of just 26 rooms in the southwest of Sri Lanka, in the fishing village of Balapitiya. People come here for silence and the ocean, not for parties.
The main trump card is a first line in the literal sense: only a small green lawn separates the rooms from the fine golden sand, and the shore is cleaned regularly. The grounds are tiny but neat and well kept: a bar, a restaurant, a spa with a gym, an outdoor pool.
Rooms are spacious, minimalist, finished in natural materials; every category looks out over the coastal garden, the beach and the Indian Ocean. Inside is everything you need, from a minibar to a tea and coffee set.
Entertainment matches the place: live music in the evenings, sunbathing, the pool, the spa. Bear in mind: this is a resort for an unhurried rhythm — there is no loud animation here, and that is a deliberate format.
Best of all for couples and anyone who wants a few days of deciding nothing and simply listening to the ocean.
