Honest review
Simple, honest beach Sri Lanka with no pretensions to luxury: the resort stands right on the public sandy beach of Narigama, in a quiet and beautiful stretch of the south coast, in the Hikkaduwa area.
The format is small-scale — a three-storey main building and two more of the same height. On the plus side: Indian Ocean views, friendly service and good food; to be honest, the level is pitched at an undemanding traveller who comes for the ocean and the experiences, not the stars.
It is hard to be bored on this shore: beach walks, volleyball, surfing and kitesurfing, diving, plus excursions into the culture of the region. If you prefer to explore on your own, rent a car or a bicycle — the nearby sights are worth it.
The kitchen is international classics plus the resort's own take on Sri Lankan dishes; there is a restaurant and a bar on site — a quick bite, dinner, or a cold drink in the evening.
Who it is for: those who choose Hikkaduwa's lively shore, closeness to nature and a sensible budget.
