Honest review
A small and very soulful resort on Sri Lanka's west coast: just 43 rooms, and even at full occupancy it feels as if there are hardly any people around. Intimacy is the main luxury here.
Amagi beach is the highlight, a few minutes' walk away. Time it right and you can catch big waves and try your hand at surfing.
The rooms come with modern comforts and a private terrace. Take the ocean-view category: the panorama of azure water and white-sand beach is the best thing you can see from a window on this coast.
The simple but important things are here too — good food, responsive staff and that tropical atmosphere people fly to the island for.
The logistics are easy: 45 minutes to Bandaranaike international airport, half an hour to Negombo, 25 minutes to Chilaw — with cultural and historical sights nearby.
A resort for romantic trips and quiet family holidays: for those who value stillness over scale.
